350g fresh strawberries juice of 1 lemon castor sugar to taste freshly ground black pepper 1 vanilla or lemon sponge cake (see recipe here) Clover Dairy Whipped Cream fresh fruit of your choice for garnishing |
| Preparation method |
- Puree strawberries
- In a saucepan cook strawberries, lemon juice and sugar together until syrupy
- Season with a pinch of black pepper
- Cut cake into wedges
- Pour strawberry syrup over
- Garnish with whipped cream and fresh fruit and serve
