Clover Gevinah Cheddar is manufactured using pasteurised, standardised cow's milk according to prescribed work instructions. It is a full fat, hard cheese with a smooth texture. Firm, not dry or crumbly, with a sharp, characteristic taste. Slightly salty, with an orange-yellow colour. Good, wholesome and value-for-money Cheddar.
Clover Gevinah Cheddar contains no preservatives other than salt. Annato natural cheese colouring is added to standardise the colour of the finished product. Clover Gevinah Cheddar is manufactured under strict hygienic conditions and may contain no foreign material or any known matter that may pose a health risk to the consumer.
Clover Gevinah Cheddar has to comply with all the requirements as indicated in the South African Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act. (Act no 54 of 1972 or as revised)
Clover Gevinah Cheddar is manufactured from milk selected according to the Gevinah/Kosher principles.
