Garlic and Cheese Bread

Tip: The bread can also be baked on the open fire. Be careful not to place it to near the coals as it will not bake evenly.

Ingredients

1 french loaf (baguette) 100 g Clover Mature Cheddar, grated 50 g Clover Butro Butter Spread 15 ml freshly chopped garlic 50 ml freshly chopped parsley   

Preparation method
  • Slice the baguette into 1 cm thick slices, but do not cut through. (The bottom part must stay in one piece.)
  • Mix the grated cheese, Butro, garlic and parsley together.
  • Spoon a tablespoon full of this mixture between every slice and spread evenly.
  • Wrap the bread in aluminium foil. Place in a preheated oven and bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 180ºC.
  • Unwrap the bread and grill the top for 2 minutes under the grilling element. Watch carefully for it not to burn.
