Capri-Sun has embarked on a campaign in schools to educate pupils on the importance of sustainable living. The campaign entitled “Save our planet!” involves the provision of lesson plans to schools to educate pupils on the five “Rs” of sustainability: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew and Respect.
These lesson plans have been developed by an educationalist and support the official national curriculum. Plan the event according to the resources available to you: funds, equipment, space, etc.

After the provision of the 5-week lesson plans to pupils, teachers and their pupils will participate in a national competition to see which class can build the best sculpture from recycled material. The three winning classes will each win a fun day at the local theme- or water- park while their schools will win a share of school equipment to the value of R100 000.
Through this campaign, Capri-Sun aims to support education on sustainability amongst our youth by making their learning experience fun and memorable. The campaign will run until the end of August in more than 330 schools across Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal and the Western Cape. Therefore, Capri-Sun will directly reach more than 160 000 pupils and their families and take one big step to “Save our planet!”
