| Early Morning Treats - Scones |

Keep this versatile, ready-to-use scone baking mixture in the fridge for easy access. Just add 125 ml Clover Full Cream Fresh milk to 500 ml of the mixture and you'll have a batch of the kids' favourites before any of them have even brushed their teeth. If they want to be involved in the preparation, just remind them to use fairy fingers when mixing, and to be quick. The secret to scone making is never to overmix or handle too long.

| Preparation method |
- Sift dry ingredients together and rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Place in an airtight container, store in fridge and use as required.
To make the scones:
- Add milk to mixture and combine.
- Take care not to handle too much.
- Place on a lightly floured surface, flatten and use a cookie cutter to press out rounds.
- Place on a lightly greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for 10-12 minutes until done.
- For a golden brown finish, brush with beaten egg before baking.
