The following is one of the mouthwatering recipes using Clover ingredients.

Muffins

Here's a healthy and wholesome pre-prepared muffin mixture. Pop two muffins, individually wrapped, into your child's day box for something extra to nibble on after school and before those extra lessons.

Serves: 48 muffins

Tip: Glaze muffins with honey or syrup and top with seeds, muesli or nuts.

Ingredients

Muffin Ready Mix

1 kg cake flour
500 ml Nutty Wheat
800 g (4 x 250 ml) soft brown sugar
50 ml baking powder
25 ml baking soda
20 ml ground cinnamon
5 ml salt
100 g (250 ml) walnuts, chopped (optional)

Buttermilk Muffin

900 ml ready-to-use muffin mixture
250 ml Clover Danone Buttermilk
2 eggs

Preparation method
  • Add buttermilk and eggs to muffin mixture and stir until combined.
  • Spoon into lightly greased muffin pans until half full.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Mix all the ingredients together, place in an airtight container and keep in refrigerator.
