The older children get, the bigger their appetites become. We're not talking about obesity here, but it definitely takes a bit more to stop their stomachs from grumbling during a lesson. Here are a few items that can be taken out of the day box and snuck into the desk to be eaten behind the hand while the teacher's back is turned.

75 ml Clover butter 10 ml curry powder 2 ml ground coriander 1 ml cayenne pepper 2 ml salt 250 ml Clover 2% Low Fat Fresh Milk 120 g (250 ml) cake flour 4 large eggs 100 g Fox & Crow Mature Cheddar, grated | |

| Preparation method |
- Place butter, curry powder, coriander, pepper and salt in a saucepan and stir over medium heat until butter has melted.
- Add milk and bring to the boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour, all at once.
- Return to medium heat and stir constantly until mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Beat well after each addition until smooth.
- Add cheese.
- Place spoonfuls of dough on baking trays and bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for 30 minutes, until golden.
- Serve at room temperature
