General Product Information
  • Product Description
    Surromel Lamb is manufactured by Clover from whey and an imported component to supply a final product, which can be reconstituted to be used as a fully balanced milk surrogate for lambs. Proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins are added to the milk solids and the pH is lowered through a scientifically formulated acid system to ensure the quality of the product in reconstituted form.

    The product complies with the requirements of the South African Legal Act (Act 36 of 1947 or as repealed).

    The product is manufactured under strict hygienic conditions and does not contain any foreign material or known substances which may present a health risk to the lamb.

    Surromel Lamb contains an anti-bacterial agent, which prevents diarrhoea and an anti-oxidant to ensure the shelf life of the powder

  • Directions for Use
    Reconstitute 220 g powder with 1 litre clean water and feed the lamb 0,5 - 1,5 litres per day, per lamb, depending of the lamb's mass.

  • Shelf Life
    The shelf life of the product is 12 months in the original sealed packaging if it is stored under dry and cool conditions (Below 28° C).

 3. Sensory Description
Relatively free-flowing powder with no hard lumps, light cream in colour with a typical sour smell. No rancid or oxidised smell must be detected.

 

Packaging

  • Surromel Lamb is sealed (airtight) in 25 kg nett multi-walled paper bags with a 70-micron co-extruded LDPE/LLDPE plastic liner and should not be subjected to light during storage.
