Ingredients
    • 500 ml (280g) cake flour
    • 250 ml (150g) maize meal
    • 25 ml baking powder
    • 5 ml salt
    • 250 ml (100g) Clover Cheddar, grated
    • 500 ml Clover Clover Amasi
    • 1 x 410g can chakalaka with corn, drained
Method

    Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Sift the flour, maize meal, baking powder and salt together.

    Add the cheese and mix through.

    Mix the maas and chakalaka together and add to the dry ingredients.

    Gently mix through.

    Mixture can still be lumpy.

    Spoon into a greased 28 cm loaf tin and bake for 40 - 50 minutes or until golden in colour and a skewer comes out clean when inserted.

    Allow bread to rest for 5 minutes in tin before turning out on a wire rack.

    Serve warm with Butro.
