Rate this recipe:
    • 500 g Clover Mooi River Butter
    • 250 ml Clover Danone Clover Amasi
    • 15 ml vanilla essence
    • 6 x 250 ml (840 g) cake flour
    • 60 ml baking powder
    • 7 ml salt
    • 375 ml (300 g) sugar
    • 750 ml All Bran breakfast cereal
    • 125 ml (50 g) pecan nuts

    Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Grease two medium-sized loaf tins.

    Melt the butter and allow to cool.

    Add Clover Amasi and vanilla.

    Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and add the sugar, All Bran and nuts.

    Add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well to form a dough.

    Roll dough into balls and place in prepared tins next to each other.

    Bake for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean when inserted.

    Allow to cool completely.

    Break open and dry in the oven at 100°C overnight.
