Preheat oven to 170°C.
Grease two loaf tins with butter.
Sift the flour, sugar, salt, bicarbonate of soda and spices together in a bowl.
Add the nuts and mix through.
Mix the butter, eggs, pumpkin and water together.
Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Bake for 1 - 1.5 hours or until breads spring back when lightly pressed.
