Clover Amasi cheese quiche with bacon recipe

Clover Amasi cheese quiche

    • Crust
    • 120 g (250 ml) cake flour
    • 125 g Clover Mooi River Butter
    • 100 g (250 ml) Clover grated Cheddar cheese
    • 125 ml sesame seeds
    • Filling
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 8 spring onions, chopped
    • 25 ml Clover Mooi River Butter
    • 250 g rindless bacon, chopped
    • 375 ml Clover Danone Clover Amasi
    • 3 eggs
    • 50 ml La Campania Parmesan Cheese, grated
    • 25 ml freshly chopped dill
    • 2 ml mustard powder
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Mix crust ingredients in a food processor to form a soft dough.

    Press into a 250 mm quiche dish, prick base with a fork and chill.

    For filling, sauté onions and spring onions in butter until translucent.

    Remove and set aside.

    Sauté bacon in the same pan until almost crisp.

    Transfer onions and bacon to quiche dish.

    Beat rest of ingredients together and pour over.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 - 45 minutes until set.
