Clover Challenges Consumers To Find The Way Better KOTA

In recognition of the importance of the lower LSM market, Clover has launched an interactive campaign searching for the most loved KOTA using Clover Individually Wrapped Process cheese. The Way Better KOTA campaign targets both formal and informal trade, setting out to drive sales and awareness of the award-winning product amongst retailers as well as consumers.

The main thrust of the campaign is to drive consumers into stores to order and vote for their favourite Clover Way Better KOTA at participating spaza shops. Clover brand ambassadors will engage several communities by sampling and selling Clover Individually Wrapped Process Cheese Slices directly from branded refrigerated vans, creating awareness surrounding the campaign. The Clover brand ambassadors will also be responsible for the distribution of point of sale material to various informal spaza shops to encourage them to partake in the Way Better KOTA competition.

Consumers are urged to visit participating spaza stores, ordering a Clover Way Better KOTA and to sms their vote for their favourite KOTA to 33496 to stand a chance of winning R500 for themselves and R500 for the spaza shop owner daily. The spaza with the most votes by the closing date of the competition will receive a spaza makeover valued at R100 000.The competition runs until December 31, 2013.

“Our new Individually Wrapped Process Cheese Slices offers competitive pricing to both formal & informal retailers and exceptional quality & convenience to the consumer. Plus they are delicious too,” says Devashni Ganess, Assistant Brand Manager.

Clover’s Individually Wrapped Process Cheese Slices walked away with a Qualité Award for its Cheddar variant earlier this year. The Qualité Award is only awarded to South African Dairy Champions that secured a specific number of points on an international scorecard. This is the first award given to a process cheese product, proving that the product is well received by consumers as well as the industry.

Clover’s Individually Wrapped Processed Cheese Slices is available in 200g, 400g and 900g. And with four delicious flavours from which to choose – Cheddar, Gouda, Sweet Milk and Biltong (Biltong flavour not available in 900g pack) – the Way Better KOTA will continue to be a favourite any time of the day!
