3 cups (420g) pea flour
1 small onion, finely chopped
½ small red pepper, seeded and chopped
½ small green pepper, seeded and
chopped
2 tbsp (30ml) fresh coriander, finely
chopped
¼ cup (60g) Clover Cheddar Cheese, finely grated
2–3 fresh chillies, chopped
1 tbsp (15ml) cumin seeds
1 tsp (5ml) curry powder
salt and pepper
½ tsp (2ml) bicarbonate of soda
300–350ml water
oil for frying
Put the ingredients, except for the bicarbonate of soda, water and oil, into a bowl and mix well.
Then stir in the bicarbonate of soda and add just enough water to make a soft dough.
Heat the oil for frying and drop spoonfuls of the chilli bite mixture into the pan and fry chilli bites for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove and drain on a paper towel.
Serve immediately.
