750 ml (420 g) cake flour
25 ml baking powder
2 ml salt
15 ml castor sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
250 ml Clover sour cream
250 ml Clover Danone Clover Amasi
Clover Butro spread
Clover fresh cream, whipped
Clover Cheddar, grated
homemade peach jam or jam of choice
Preheat oven to 200°C. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
Beat the eggs, cream and Clover Amasi together.
Make a hollow in the centre of the dry ingredients and gradually pour in Clover Amasi mixture, leaving 30 ml for glazing.
Mix with a fork until dough is soft and sticky.
Pour out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly with floured hands for no longer than 2 minutes.
Roll out with a rolling pin to 25 mm thickness and cut into rounds with a cookie cutter.
Place scones on a lightly greased baking tray, leaving enough space in between to allow for rising.
Brush with Clover Amasi mixture and bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted.
Allow scones to cool slightly and serve with butter, cream and jam.
