250 g Clover MooiRiver Butter
250 ml (200 g) sugar
1 egg
2 ml ground cloves
2 ml ground cinnamon
540 ml (300 g) cake flour
125 ml (50 g) pecan nuts, finely chopped
480 ml (250 g) icing sugar
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Lightly grease baking trays with butter.
Cream butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add egg very slowly and beat.
Sift cloves, cinnamon and flour together.
Add the butter mixture and the nuts.
Mix until a soft dough is formed.
Roll chestnut-sized balls and place on baking tray with enough space between balls.
Bake for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Roll in icing sugar and place on wax paper to cool.
Roll in icing sugar once more until biscuits are white.
