¼ cup Olive Pride Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Barbeque spice
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
FOR THE CHAKALAKA
4 tbsp Olive Pride Blend
1 Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, grated
1 tsp Ginger, grated
1 – 2 Chillies, chopped
½ Red pepper, seeded and chopped
½ Green pepper, seeded and chopped
½ Yellow pepper, seeded and chopped
2 medium Carrots, grated
3 tbsp Curry powder or curry paste
2 cans Of beans in tomato sauce
½ cup Chicken or beef stock
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked warm pap Olive Pride Fat Spread
Place the steak with the marinade ingredients in a shallow dish. Coat the steak completely and marinade for at least an hour. Fry the steak in a pan or braai over coals to your desired doneness.
For the Chakalaka heat the Olive Pride Blend and fry the onion, garlic, ginger and chillies until soft. Add the peppers and cook for five minutes. Mix all the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve cold.
Slice the steak, put on platter with chakalaka, warm pap with a big dollop of Olive Pride Fat Spread on top of warm pap.
